Emerging Leaders Track
The American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) is launching a professional development half-day track for emerging leaders in public-private partnerships (P3s). The July 14 event coincides with ARTBA’s 29th Annual P3s in Transportation Conference, July 12-14 in Washington, D.C.
The morning track offers emerging P3 leaders an opportunity to network and hear insights from their industry peers and executives. Attendees will receive tips on boosting their careers and join a discussion on the infrastructure challenges of the future.
In the “Becoming an Industry Leader” session, panelists will describe their own story and share advice for advancing careers in the P3 industry. Panelists will discuss current and future career paths, education and “on the job” experiences, assignments and projects they’ve worked on, and lessons learned for other emerging leaders interested in the P3 Industry
In the “Infrastructure Challenges for the Next Generation of Industry Leaders” session, panelists will consider the future evolution of P3s and the role that the next generation of P3 professionals will play. They will discuss how the successes and challenges of the P3 model to date are being used to support the delivery of disruptive technology via P3s, how advances in technology in transportation, including vehicles, highways, and transit, may impact the P3 model, the private and public perspective regarding long term concessions, and how the next generation of leaders in this industry can best overcome the challenges of politics and public perception to foster wider acceptance P3s across a broader range of critical infrastructure needs.
This new track evolved from the recently formed DC-based group of P3 industry emerging leaders. Please fill out the form below to stay updated on our future events!
